The tour begins with a visit to the Accademia Gallery, well known all over the world for Michelangelo's masterpieces that lies here, such as: the David, the “Prisoners”, the St. Matthew and the “Pietà”. After being captivated by the wonderful atmosphere, surrounded by giants of marble, following in the footsteps of Michelangelo's life, our journey continues towards the Piazza del Duomo to admire the Baptistery with the famous Gates of Paradise, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Giotto’s Bell Tower.
The wonderful colours of the mosaics that cover the religious center of Florence contrast with the buildings that we discover while walking through the oldest part of the city to reach Piazza della Signoria, the political center of the city, also known as an open-air museum, due to the presence of beautiful sculptures and many masterpieces.
The purpose of the tour is to offer the opportunity to capture the essence of the Uffizi Gallery. An expert guide will introduce you to the history and work of the Gallery focusing especially on the art of the Renaissance: the work of the maestro Filippo Lippi, the great masterpieces by Botticelli, The Birth of Venus and La Primavera, Leonardo da Vinci, with his distinguishing sfumato, and the only painting ever made by Michelangelo, the Tondo Doni.
At the end of the tour you can stay in the Gallery to explore by yourselves one of the most important museums in the world, or stop to admire the astonishing view of Palazzo della Signoria in front of a nice coffee on the terrace of the Uffizi.
