This is a <strong>public holiday<\/strong> and most <strong>museums, offices, shops, and restaurants are closed<\/strong>. Here is a list of the <strong>museums in Florence opened on Ferragosto<\/strong>. <strong>(updated in 2025)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">State Museums open on Ferragosto in Florence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Academy Gallery is going to be opened on<\/strong><strong> August 15th<\/strong> from\u00a0 8.50 am &#8211; 6.50 pm; the ticket office closes 30 minutes before closing time. The Uffizi Gallery is open on August 15th from 8.15 am to 6.50 pm, and the ticket office closes at 5.30 pm.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>San Marco Museum<\/strong>, preserving Beato Angelico&#8217;s masterpieces, is open on August 15th from 8.15 am to 1.50 pm. The Bargello Museum, the new Orsanmichele Museum and the Medici Chapels are open on Ferragosto &#8211; opening times <a href=\"https:\/\/bargellomusei.it\/en\/\">here<\/a>, as well as the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/exclusiveflorencetours.com\/blog\/en\/what-to-see-boboli-gardens\/\">Boboli Gardens<\/a> and Pitti Palace main galleries<\/strong> with regular opening times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Florence Civic and other Museums open on Ferragosto<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Civic museums in Florence opened on August 15th<\/strong>, Ferragosto day, are <strong>Palazzo Vecchio and Arnolfo Tower<\/strong>, <strong>Museo del Novecento and Santa Maria Novella Museums<\/strong>.
