Special Vasari Corridor
The Vasari Corridor is Open to Visitors!
The Vasari Corridor is a unique elevated passage connecting Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti, passing through the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Stretching just over 750 meters, it offers breathtaking views of Florence and the Arno River.
After 8 years of restoration and safety upgrades, this architectural marvel finally reopened to the public on December 21, 2025. Thanks to a special ticket, it is now accessible to everyone once again.
What’s New in the Vasari Corridor
The “new” Vasari Corridor has been restored to its original purpose: an aerial walkway connecting Palazzo Vecchio to the Boboli Gardens, just as Giorgio Vasari envisioned in 1565.
Access begins within the Uffizi Gallery, near the Venus of Urbino by Titian. Along the way, the new setup allows visitors to safely and peacefully admire the 73 windows and scenic views of Florence, including the iconic Ponte Vecchio.
The extra-ordinary collection of self portraits that once accompanied visitors along the Corridor is now partially displayed in dedicated rooms on the first floor of the Gallery.
Thanks to the recent renovations, the Corridor is now fully accessible to people with disabilities or limited mobility, ensuring everyone can enjoy this extraordinary experience.
A panoramic walk through Florence’s history and monuments, offering extraordinary perspectives at any time of the day and in every season.
How to Visit the Vasari Corridor
Access to the Vasari Corridor requires a special Uffizi Gallery ticket, priced at €43 plus €4 for the reservation. This includes entry to the Corridor and admission to the Uffizi up to two hours before the visit.
Visits are accompanied by Uffizi staff and must be booked online in advance.
